Heart of Ohio Council
It has truly been a pleasure to work with Brad. His knowledge of the BSA and its financial systems is overwhelming. Brad has been instrumental in raising the JTE scores of our council and making sure that we are delivering a quality product to the youth of our council. Brad is always available to work with our volunteers and has increased our volunteer participation as a result of his drive and ability to explain our goals so as to obtain buy-in and ownership of the tasks at hand. I wholeheartedly endorse Brad.

Brad is one of the finest professionals I have ever worked with. He demonstrates a calm but firm leadership style. He has a clear vision for how Scouting can impact an individual, a family and a community. He is extremely hard working and very dedicated to seeing that Scouting succeeds even during challenging times. Additionally, as the former National Director of LDS-BSA Relationships, I had the honor of watching Brad very closely these last few years as he masterfully navigated his way through the historic transition as The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chose to no longer partner with Scouting by chartering units. In spite of the fact that so much of his membership was connected with that chartered organization he demonstrated solid leadership as tough decisions were made regarding staff, fundraising, budgets and overall morale.

In my 3+ years of working with Brad he is one of the most exceptional officers in our movement. There are many folks that talk about a “can-do” attitude, but less of them are welcome to the idea of “show me it can't be done”. Brad motivated me through this method many times during our work together and pressed me to bring the best that I could to Scouting. At his core, Mr. Bodoh is constantly calculating cost-analysis on situations but he applies it in ways that I had never, before him, seen problems tackled. Brad will walk and talk in all manners that shows he cares for his employees, and he will then work almost backwards from there. In a sense it can seem like any problem is just something that we have not solved together, yet. Brad had an incredible amount of trust in my skills and he knew that I could get it done, even when I did not think it was possible. I’ve worked for several amazing staff leaders over the years. I consider Brad Bodoh in an upper-echelon of leaders in our Scouting movement. We use words like “coach” and “mentor” often, but I think what sets Brad apart is: how easy he makes those traits look for the rest of us. I’m glad that Brad always pushed me to do my best, and I would not be where I am today if it were not for his patience and commitment to make it work - with me.
